Hadith 1111:22
Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu al-Nadr, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Rafi’, from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "I do not want to find any one of you reclining on his couch, and when a matter of my command comes to him—of what I have commanded or forbidden—he says: 'We do not know; whatever we find in the Book of Allah, we will follow.'"
حدثنا سفيان، عن أبي النضر، عن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أبيه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا ألفين أحدكم متكئا على أريكته، يأتيه الأمر من أمري مما أمرت به، ونهيت عنه، فيقول: لا ندري، وما وجدنا في كتاب الله اتبعناه " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
