Hadith 1111:23
Zakariya ibn 'Adi narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Amr narrated to us, from 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, who said: I asked 'Ali ibn al-Husayn, and he said: Abu Rafi', the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), informed me: That when Hasan ibn 'Ali the elder was born, his mother Fatima wanted to sacrifice two rams for him. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Do not sacrifice for him, but shave the hair of his head, then give in charity the weight of his hair in silver in the way of Allah." Then Husayn was born after that, and she did the same.
حدثنا زكريا بن عدي، حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمرو، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل، قال: سألت علي بن حسين، قال: أخبرني أبو رافع مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أن حسن بن علي الأكبر حين ولد، أرادت أمه فاطمة أن تعق بكبشين، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا تعقي عنه، ولكن احلقي شعر رأسه، ثم تصدقي بوزن رأسه من الورق في سبيل الله "، ثم ولد حسين بعد ذلك، فصنعت مثل ذلك
