Hadith of Abu Rafi‘ (RA)

Hadith 1111:5

Mu'ammal narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Rafi' narrated to me, from his paternal aunt, from Abu Rafi', who said: A roasted sheep was prepared for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and it was brought to him. He said to me: "O Abu Rafi', hand me the forearm." So I handed it to him. Then he said: "O Abu Rafi', hand me the forearm." So I handed it to him. Then he said: "O Abu Rafi', hand me the forearm." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, does a sheep have more than two forearms?" He said: "Had you remained silent, you would have continued to hand me from it as long as I asked for it." He said: And the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to like the forearm.
