Musnad Ahmad 289:20

Bahz and Hasan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, from Waki' ibn Hudus, from his paternal uncle Abu Razin—Hasan said: Al-'Uqayli—from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he said: "Our Lord laughs at the despair of His servants and the nearness of its change." Abu Razin said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, does the Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, laugh?" He replied, "Yes." I said, "We shall never be deprived of good from a Lord who laughs." Hasan said in his narration: He said: "Yes, we shall never be deprived of good from a Lord who laughs."
