Musnad Ahmad 29:2

'Amr ibn al-Haytham Abu Qatan and Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, they said: al-Mas'udi narrated to us, from Iyad ibn Laqit, from Abu Rimthah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "The hand of the giver is the upper one; [give to] your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, then your closest, then your closest." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, are these the Banu Yarbu' who killed so-and-so?" He said: "Beware, no soul commits a crime against another." 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: My father said: Abu al-Nadr said in his narration: I entered the mosque, and there was the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, delivering a sermon, and he was saying: "The hand of the giver is the upper one."
