Musnad Ahmad 307:23

Hadith of Abu Talhah Zayd bin Sahl al-Ansari (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 307:23

Ahmad ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Abdullah—meaning Ibn al-Mubarak—informed us, he said: Layth ibn Sa’d informed us, and he mentioned a hadith. He said: And Layth ibn Sa’d narrated to me, he said: Yahya ibn Sulaym ibn Zayd, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), narrated to me that he heard Isma’il ibn Bashir, the freed slave of Banu Maghala, saying: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah and Abu Talha ibn Sahl, the two Ansarites, saying: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "There is no person who forsakes a Muslim person at a place where his sanctity is violated and his honor is disparaged, except that Allah—Mighty and Majestic is He—will forsake him at a place where he loves to have His help. And there is no person who helps a Muslim person at a place where his honor is disparaged and his sanctity is violated, except that Allah will help him at a place where he loves to have His help."
