Musnad Ahmad 538:2

Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Dawud, from Makhul, from Abu Tha‘labah al-Khushani, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, the most beloved of you to me, and the closest of you to me in the Hereafter, are those of you with the best characters. And indeed, the most hateful of you to me, and the furthest of you from me in the Hereafter, are those of you with the worst characters: the *thartharun* (the talkative/babblers), the *mutafayhiqun* (those who speak pompously/arrogantly), and the *mutashaddiqun* (those who twist their mouths when speaking to show off)."
