Musnad Ahmad 962:1

Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Sulayman—meaning al-Taymi—from Sayyar, from Abu Umamah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "My Lord favored me over the prophets—or he said: over the nations—with four things. He said: I was sent to all of mankind, and the entire earth was made a place of prostration (masjid) and a means of purification for me and my nation. So, wherever a man from my nation is overtaken by prayer, he has his place of prostration and his means of purification with him. And I was granted victory through fear [cast into the hearts of my enemies] from a distance of a month’s journey, which He casts into the hearts of my enemies, and the spoils of war were made lawful for us." ‘Abdullah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Ma‘in narrated to me, Mu‘tamir narrated to us, from his father, from Sayyar, the freed slave of the family of Mu‘awiyah, with another hadith, and it is said that he is Sayyar al-Shami.
