Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي الصدي بن عجلان بن عمرو ويقال: ابن وهب الباهلي، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 962:115
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, al-Hasan—meaning ibn Salih—narrated to us, from Abu al-Muhallab, from Ubayd Allah ibn Zahr, from Ali ibn Yazid, from al-Qasim, from Abu Umamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever begins with the greeting (salam) is the most worthy of Allah and His Messenger."
حدثنا أسود بن عامر، حدثنا الحسن يعني ابن صالح، عن أبي المهلب، عن عبيد الله بن زحر، عن علي بن يزيد، عن القاسم، عن أبي أمامة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من بدأ بالسلام فهو أولى بالله وبرسوله "
