Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي الصدي بن عجلان بن عمرو ويقال: ابن وهب الباهلي، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 962:126
Hashim narrated to us, Faraj narrated to us, Luqman narrated to us, from Abu Umamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first row." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, and upon the second?" He said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first row." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, and upon the second?" He said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first row." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, and upon the second?" He said: "And upon the second." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Straighten your rows, align your shoulders, be gentle in the hands of your brothers, and fill the gaps; for indeed, the devil enters between you like the *hadhaf*," meaning: the small lambs.
حدثنا هاشم، حدثنا فرج، حدثنا لقمان، عن أبي أمامة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن الله وملائكته يصلون على الصف الأول ". قالوا: يا رسول الله، وعلى الثاني؟ قال: " إن الله وملائكته يصلون على الصف الأول ". قالوا: يا رسول الله، وعلى الثاني؟ قال: " إن الله وملائكته يصلون على الصف الأول " قالوا يا رسول الله، وعلى الثاني؟ قال: " وعلى الثاني ". وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " سووا صفوفكم، وحاذوا بين مناكبكم، ولينوا في أيدي إخوانكم، وسدوا الخلل؛ فإن الشيطان يدخل فيما بينكم بمنزلة الحذف " يعني: أولاد الضأن الصغار
