Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي الصدي بن عجلان بن عمرو ويقال: ابن وهب الباهلي، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 962:142
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Bakr ibn Mudar narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Zahir narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Yazid, from al-Qasim, from Abu Umamah, who attributed the hadith [to the Prophet], he said: "Whoever begins with the greeting (salam) is the most worthy of Allah and His Messenger."
