Musnad Ahmad 962:148

Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 962:148

Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, Safwan ibn Amr informed us, from Ubaydullah ibn Busr, from Abu Umamah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding His saying: "{And he will be given to drink of purulent water. He will gulp it down} [Ibrahim: 17]." He said: "It is brought near to him, and he finds it detestable. When it is brought close to his face, it roasts it, and his scalp falls off. When he drinks it, it cuts his intestines until it comes out from his posterior. Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says: '{And are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines} [Muhammad: 15].' And Allah says: '{And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink} [Al-Kahf: 29].'"
