Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي الصدي بن عجلان بن عمرو ويقال: ابن وهب الباهلي، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 962:28
'Abd al-Wahid al-Haddad narrated to us, Shihab ibn Khirash narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn Dinar, from Abu Ghalib, from Abu Umamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No people went astray after guidance they were upon, except that they were given to argumentation." Then he recited this verse: "They did not set it forth for you except for argument. Rather, they are a people prone to dispute." [Az-Zukhruf: 58]
حدثنا عبد الواحد الحداد، حدثنا شهاب بن خراش، عن حجاج بن دينار، عن أبي غالب، عن أبي أمامة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ما ضل قوم بعد هدى كانوا عليه إلا أوتوا الجدل، ثم تلا هذه الآية {ما ضربوه لك إلا جدلا بل هم قوم خصمون} [الزخرف : 58] " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
