Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي الصدي بن عجلان بن عمرو ويقال: ابن وهب الباهلي، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 962:36
Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: I heard Shu'bah narrating from Qatadah, and Hashim said: Shu'bah narrated to me, Qatadah informed us, he said: I heard Abu al-Ja'd narrating, and Hashim said in his narration: Abu al-Ja'd, a freed slave of Banu Dubay'ah, from Abu Umamah, that a man from the people of the Suffah died and left behind a dinar. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said regarding him: "A branding." He said: Then another died and left behind two dinars. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Two brandings."
حدثنا حجاج قال: سمعت شعبة يحدث، عن قتادة، وهاشم قال: حدثني شعبة، أخبرنا قتادة قال: سمعت أبا الجعد يحدث، قال: هاشم في حديثه أبو الجعد مولى لبني ضبيعة، عن أبي أمامة، أن رجلا من أهل الصفة توفي وترك دينارا. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم له: " كية ". قال: ثم توفي آخر فترك دينارين. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " كيتان "
