Musnad Ahmad 962:51

Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah—meaning Ibn al-Mubarak—informed us, Yahya ibn Ayyub informed us, from Ubayd Allah ibn Zahr, from Ali ibn Yazid, from al-Qasim, from Abu Umamah, who said: When Umm Kulthum, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), was placed in the grave, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "From it We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you out once again" [Ta-Ha: 55]. He said: Then I do not know if he said: "In the name of Allah, and in the way of Allah, and upon the creed of the Messenger of Allah," or not. When he built her *lahd* (niche) over her, he began to throw the soil for them and said: "Close the gaps between the bricks." Then he said: "As for this, it is not a thing, but it comforts the soul of the living."
