Hadith of Abu Umamah al-Bahili, Suddiyy ibn ‘Ajlan ibn ‘Amr, and it is said: Ibn Wahb al-Bahili, from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أبي أمامة الباهلي الصدي بن عجلان بن عمرو ويقال: ابن وهب الباهلي، (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 962:58
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Abu Talib al-Dab'i, from Abu Umamah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "For me to sit remembering Allah, magnifying Him (saying Allahu Akbar), praising Him (saying Alhamdulillah), glorifying Him (saying SubhanAllah), and declaring His oneness (saying La ilaha illallah) until the sun rises is more beloved to me than freeing two slaves, or more, from the children of Isma'il. And from after 'Asr until the sun sets is more beloved to me than freeing four slaves from the children of Isma'il."
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، أخبرنا علي بن زيد، عن أبي طالب الضبعي، عن أبي أمامة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لأن أقعد أذكر الله وأكبره وأحمده وأسبحه وأهلله حتى تطلع الشمس أحب إلي من أن أعتق رقبتين، أو أكثر من ولد إسماعيل، ومن بعد العصر حتى تغرب الشمس أحب إلي من أن أعتق أربع رقاب من ولد إسماعيل "
