Musnad Ahmad 962:87

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, Sinan Abu Rabi'ah, the owner of the Sabiri, narrated to us, from Shahr bin Hawshab, from Abu Umamah, who said: He described the ablution (wudu) of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He mentioned three times [for each part], and I do not know how he mentioned the rinsing of the mouth and the sniffing of water into the nose. He said: "And the ears are part of the head." He said: "And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to wipe the inner corners of the eyes," and he said, "with his two fingers." And Hammad showed us, and he wiped his own inner corners of the eyes.
