Hadith 901:3
Surayj narrated to us, Hashraj narrated to us, from Abu Nasirah, from Abu 'Usayb, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out at night and passed by me, so he called me to him, and I went out. Then he passed by Abu Bakr and called him, and he went out to him. Then he passed by 'Umar and called him, and he went out to him. He set off until he entered a garden belonging to one of the Ansar. He said to the owner of the garden: "Feed us some unripe dates." He brought a bunch and placed it down, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions ate. Then he asked for cold water and drank. He said: "You will surely be asked about this on the Day of Resurrection." 'Umar took the bunch and struck the ground with it until the unripe dates scattered before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then he said: "O Messenger of Allah, are we to be asked about this on the Day of Resurrection?" He said: "Yes, except for three things: a rag with which a man covers his private parts, or a morsel with which he satisfies his hunger, or a stone [a shelter] in which he enters to protect himself from the heat and the cold."
