Musnad Ahmad 1014:6

Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Khalid informed us, from Abu Qilabah, from a man of his people—Khalid said: I think it is 'Amr ibn Bujdan—from Abu Zayd al-Ansari, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed between the houses of the Ansar and smelled the odor of cooking meat. He said: "Who prepared this?" or as he said—Isma'il was in doubt. A man came out and said: "O Messenger of Allah, this is a day in which meat is disliked, and I hastened my sacrifice." He said: "Then repeat it." He said: "By Allah, I have nothing but a *jadha'* (a young lamb) or a lamb of the sheep." He said: "Slaughter it, but a *jadha'* shall not suffice for anyone after you."
