Musnad Ahmad 774:11

Yahya ibn Zakariyya narrated to us, Asim al-Ahwal informed me, from al-Sha'bi, from Adi ibn Hatim, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "If your game falls into the water and drowns, then do not eat it."
