Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah, 'Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: 'Adi ibn Hatim said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I shoot at game, and I seek its tracks after a night, and I find my arrow in it." He said: "If you find your arrow in it, and a beast of prey has not eaten from it, then eat." I mentioned this to Abu Bishr, and he said: From Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from 'Adi, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "If you find your arrow in it, and you know that it killed it, then eat."
