Musnad Ahmad 536:4

Waki’ narrated to us, Ibn Abi Khalid narrated to us, from Qais ibn Abi Hazim, from ‘Adi ibn ‘Amirah al-Kindi, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "Whoever we appoint to a task..." and he mentioned its meaning.
