Musnad Ahmad 536:9

Ali ibn Ayyash and Ishaq ibn Isa—and this is the hadith of Ali—said: Al-Layth ibn Sa’d narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Husayn al-Makki narrated to me, from Adi ibn Adi al-Kindi, from his father, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Consult with women regarding themselves." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, the virgin is shy." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The previously married woman expresses herself regarding her own self, and the virgin’s consent is her silence."
