Hadith 627:16

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn Sulayman, from al-Sha'bi, from 'Adi ibn Hatim, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my land is a land of hunting." He said: "If you send your dog and mention the name of Allah, then eat what your dog catches for you, even if it killed it. But if it has eaten from it, do not eat, for it only caught it for itself. And if you send your dog and it mixes with other dogs upon which the name of Allah was not mentioned, do not eat, for you do not know which of them killed it."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق، حدثنا معمر، عن عاصم بن سليمان، عن الشعبي، عن عدي بن حاتم، قال: قلت يا رسول الله إن أرضي أرض صيد، قال: " إذا أرسلت كلبك، وسميت، فكل ما أمسك عليك كلبك، وإن قتل، فإن أكل منه، فلا تأكل، فإنه إنما أمسك على نفسه، وإذا أرسلت كلبك، فخالطته أكلب، لم تسم عليها، فلا تأكل، فإنك لا تدري أيها قتله "
