Musnad Ahmad 627:24

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, Ayyub informed us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Ubaydah ibn Hudhayfah, from a man who said: I used to ask people about the hadith of Adi ibn Hatim, while he was at my side, and I would not ask him about it. So I came to him and asked him. He said: Yes, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent [someone] when he sent [him], and he mentioned the hadith.
