Hadith 627:3
Waki' and Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us—the meaning being the same—they said: Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Khaythamah, from 'Adi ibn Hatim al-Ta'i, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is not one among you but his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, will speak to him, with no translator between Him and him. He will look to his right and will see nothing but what he has sent forth. He will look to his left and will see nothing but what he has sent forth. He will look in front of him and the Fire will face him. So whoever among you is able to protect himself from the Fire, even with half a date, let him do so."
حدثنا وكيع، وأبو معاوية، المعنى، قالا: حدثنا الأعمش، عن خيثمة، عن عدي بن حاتم الطائي، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ما منكم من أحد إلا سيكلمه ربه عز وجل، ليس بينه وبينه ترجمان، فينظر عمن أيمن منه، فلا يرى إلا شيئا قدمه، وينظر عمن أشأم منه، فلا يرى إلا شيئا قدمه، وينظر أمامه، فتستقبله النار، فمن استطاع منكم أن يتقي النار ولو بشق تمرة فليفعل " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
