Hadith 627:7
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Simak, from Murri ibn Qatari, from 'Adi ibn Hatim al-Ta'i, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we hunt game, but we do not find a knife, only a sharp stone or a splinter of a stick." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Cause the blood to flow with whatever you wish, and mention the name of Allah."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن، عن سفيان، عن سماك، عن مري بن قطري، عن عدي بن حاتم الطائي، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله ، إنا نصيد الصيد، فلا نجد سكينا إلا الظرار، وشقة العصا، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أمر الدم بما شئت، واذكر اسم الله "
