Hadith 852:10
Rawh ibn ‘Ubadah narrated to us, Bastam ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: I heard Khalifah ibn ‘Abdullah al-Ghubari saying: I heard ‘A’idh ibn ‘Amr al-Muzani saying: While we were with our Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a Bedouin persisted in asking him, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, feed me; O Messenger of Allah, give me." He said: So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up and entered the house, and he took hold of the two doorposts of the chamber, and he turned his face toward us and said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if you knew what I know about asking, no man would ask another while he finds something to spend the night with." Then he ordered food for him.
حدثنا روح بن عبادة، حدثنا بسطام بن مسلم، قال: سمعت خليفة بن عبد الله الغبري، يقول: سمعت عائذ بن عمرو المزني، قال: بينما نحن مع نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم، إذا أعرابي قد ألح عليه في المسألة، يقول: يا رسول الله، أطعمني يا رسول الله، أعطني، قال: فقام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فدخل المنزل، وأخذ بعضادتي الحجرة، وأقبل علينا بوجهه، وقال: " والذي نفس محمد بيده، لو تعلمون ما أعلم في المسألة، ما سأل رجل رجلا وهو يجد ليلة تبيته "، فأمر له بطعام
