Hadith 852:13
Waki’ narrated to us, Abu al-Ashhab narrated to us, from ‘Amir al-Ahwal, from ‘A’idh ibn ‘Amr—Abu al-Ashhab said: I think he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever Allah gives provision without him asking for it, let him accept it." ‘Abdullah said: I asked my father: "What is *al-ishraf* (eager anticipation/looking forward to something)?" He said: "That you say to yourself: 'So-and-so will send to me, so-and-so will give to me.'"
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا أبو الأشهب، عن عامر الأحول، عن عائذ بن عمرو، قال أبو الأشهب: أراه قال:، قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من آتاه الله رزقا من غير مسألة فليقبله "، قال عبد الله: سألت أبي: ما الإشراف؟ قال: " تقول في نفسك سيبعث إلي فلان سيصلني فلان "
