Musnad Ahmad 21:25

Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Nawfal, from al-Muttalib ibn Abi Wada'ah, who said: Al-Abbas said: Something of what the people were saying reached the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: So he ascended the pulpit and said: "Who am I?" They said: You are the Messenger of Allah. He said: "I am Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul-Muttalib. Indeed, Allah created the creation and placed me in the best of His creation. He divided them into two groups, and He placed me in the best group. He created the tribes, and He placed me in the best tribe. He divided them into households, and He placed me in the best of their households. So I am the best of you in household and the best of you in person."
