Hadith of Al-Ala' ibn al-Hadrami (RA)
حديث العلاء بن الحضرمي
Hadith 831:0
Narrated to us by Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik, who said: Narrated to us by Hammad ibn Salamah, from Thabit, from Anas, that al-Ala’ ibn al-Hadrami said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me to Bahrain, or he sent me to the people of Bahrain. He said: So I went out, and I passed by a place where there was no water. I prayed two rak'ahs, then I supplicated to Allah, and I said: "O All-Knowing, O Most Forbearing, O Most High, O Most Great." He said: Then a spring of fresh water gushed forth for me. I drank, and my companions drank, and we performed ablution. He said: Then I returned, and I mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ). He said: "You have been granted a response, so keep to the path of righteousness."
