Hadith 252:1
'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, he said: Musa ibn 'Uqbah narrated to us, he said: Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from al-Aqra' ibn Habis, that he called out to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) from behind the private chambers, and said: "O Messenger of Allah." But the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) did not answer him. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed my praise is an adornment, and my dispraise is a disgrace." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said—as Abu Salamah narrated: "That is Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا وهيب، قال: حدثنا موسى بن عقبة، قال: حدثني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، عن الأقرع بن حابس، أنه نادى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من وراء الحجرات، فقال: يا رسول الله، فلم يجبه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله، ألا إن حمدي زين، وإن ذمي شين ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: كما حدث أبو سلمة: " ذاك الله عز وجل "
