Musnad Ahmad 943:2

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Salam ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, from Ziyad ibn Kulayb, from al-Ash’ath ibn Qays, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "He does not thank Allah who does not thank people."
