Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, who said: I heard Ibn Abi Layla, who said: I heard al-Bara’ narrating to a group of people, among whom was Ka‘b ibn ‘Ujrah, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying to the Ansar: "You will surely encounter selfishness [in the distribution of worldly affairs] after me." They said: "What do you command us to do?" He said: "Be patient until you meet me at the Basin [al-Hawd]."
