Musnad Ahmad 658:132

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, appointed ‘Abdullah ibn Jubayr over the archers on the day of Uhud, and they were fifty men. He said: "If you see the enemy and you see the birds snatching us, do not depart." When they saw the spoils, they said: "The spoils are upon you." ‘Abdullah said: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, not say: 'Do not depart'?" Another person said: Then it was revealed: {And you disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love} [Al ‘Imran: 152]. He says: You disobeyed the Messenger after He had shown you the spoils and the defeat of the enemy.
