Musnad Ahmad 658:177

Waki’ narrated to us, from his father, and Ali bin Salih, from Ash’ath bin Sulaym, from Mu’awiyah bin Suwayd bin Muqarrin. My father said: And ‘Abd al-Rahman said: Shu’bah narrated to us, from Ash’ath bin Sulaym, he said: I heard Mu’awiyah bin Suwayd, from Al-Bara’, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded us with seven and forbade us from seven. He commanded us: to visit the sick, to follow the funeral processions, to say 'Yarhamuk Allah' (may Allah have mercy on you) to the one who sneezes, to return the greeting, to answer the caller, to aid the oppressed, and to fulfill the oath of the one who swears. And he forbade us from: vessels of gold and silver, wearing gold rings, wearing silk, Dibaj (thick silk), Qassi (silk-blend fabric), red Mayathir (saddle blankets), and Istabraq (brocade)." And ‘Abd al-Rahman did not mention vessels of gold and silver.
