Musnad Ahmad 658:194

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara’ who said: "I have not seen anyone with hair reaching his earlobes looking better in a red garment than the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He had hair that struck his shoulders, and he was broad between the shoulders. He was not tall, nor was he short."
