Bahz narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, al-Ash'ath ibn Sulaym narrated to us, from Mu'awiyah ibn Suwayd ibn Muqarrin, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded us with seven and forbade us from seven." He said: He mentioned what he commanded them with: "Visiting the sick, following funeral processions, saying 'yarhamuk Allah' (may Allah have mercy on you) to the one who sneezes, returning the greeting, fulfilling the oath of the swearer, answering the caller, and helping the oppressed." And he forbade us from silver vessels, and from the gold ring—or he said: the gold band—and *istabraq* (thick silk), and *harir* (silk), and *dibaj* (brocade), and the *maytharah* (saddle cloth), and *al-qassi* (a garment containing silk).
