Musnad Ahmad 167:2

Sufyan narrated to us, he said: I heard it from al-Zuhri, from Sa’id, that ‘Umar said: "The blood money (diyah) is for the paternal relatives (al-‘aqilah), and the woman does not inherit from the blood money of her husband." Until al-Dahhak ibn Sufyan al-Kilabi informed him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wrote to him: "That I should grant the wife of Ashyam al-Dababi an inheritance from the blood money of her husband." So ‘Umar retracted his statement.
