Hadith 609:0
Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja’far, narrated to us by Shu’bah, from ‘Asim ibn Bahdalah, from Abu Wa’il, from al-Harith at-Tamimi, that he went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, inform me of a matter by which Allah may benefit me." He said: "Adhere to the *Tasbih* (saying *SubhanAllah*), for it is the prayer of the creation and the means by which the creation is provided for. And adhere to the *Tahlil* (saying *La ilaha illallah*). When you finish your Fajr prayer, say ten times before you speak to anyone: 'SubhanAllah al-‘Adhim wa bi-hamdihi' (Glory be to Allah the Almighty and by His praise). You will be protected by it from four things: from madness, from leprosy, from paralysis, and from the devil." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the provision of the creation?" He said: "It is *SubhanAllah wa bi-hamdihi*, for it is the prayer of every thing, and by it, every thing is provided for."
