Hadith of Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA)
Hadith 16:8
Abu Ahmad—who is al-Zubayri—narrated to us, al-‘Ala’ ibn Salih narrated to us, Burayd ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us, from Abu al-Hawra’, who said: We were with al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali, and he was asked: "What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)—or about the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)?" He said: "I was walking with him, and he passed by a drying floor of charity dates. I took a date and threw it into my mouth. He took it out with his saliva. Some of the people said: 'What would it have mattered to you if you had left it?' He said: 'We, the family of Muhammad, charity is not lawful for us.'" He said: "And I remember from him the five prayers."
