Musnad Ahmad 246:0

It was narrated from Al-Hirmas ibn Ziyad that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "It is sufficient for a man of evil that he is spoken of in a way that is not in him, or that he is pointed at with fingers regarding his religion or his worldly affairs, except for one whom Allah protects."
