Hadith of Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'di Karib al-Kindi, Abu Karima (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث المقدام بن معدي كرب الكندي أبي كريمة (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 462:2
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, Mansur narrated to me, from al-Sha'bi, from al-Miqdam ibn Ma'di Karib Abu Karima, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "The night of the guest is an obligation upon every Muslim. If he wakes up in his courtyard deprived, it is a debt owed to him by him; if he wishes, he may exact it, and if he wishes, he may leave it."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، قال: حدثنا شعبة، حدثني منصور، عن الشعبي، عن المقدام بن معدي كرب أبي كريمة، سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " ليلة الضيف واجبة على كل مسلم، فإن أصبح بفنائه محروما، كان دينا له عليه، إن شاء اقتضاه، وإن شاء تركه "
