Hadith of Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'di Karib al-Kindi, Abu Karima (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)

حديث المقدام بن معدي كرب الكندي أبي كريمة (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

Hadith 462:25

Waki’ and Abu Nu’aym narrated to us, they said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from al-Sha’bi, from al-Miqdam Abu Karimah—Abu Nu’aym said: al-Miqdam Abu Karimah al-Shami—he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The night of the guest"—Abu Nu’aym said: "is a right"—"is obligatory. If he wakes up in his courtyard, then it is a debt upon him; if he wishes, he may exact it, and if he wishes, he may leave it."

حدثنا وكيع، وأبو نعيم، قالا: حدثنا سفيان، عن منصور، عن الشعبي، عن المقدام أبي كريمة، قال أبو نعيم: المقدام أبو كريمة الشامي، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لليلة الضيف - قال أبو نعيم: حق - واجبة، فإن أصبح بفنائه، فهو دين عليه، فإن شاء اقتضى، وإن شاء ترك "
