Hadith of Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'di Karib al-Kindi, Abu Karima (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث المقدام بن معدي كرب الكندي أبي كريمة (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 462:32
Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from al-Sha’bi, from al-Miqdam Abu Karimah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The hospitality of the guest for a night is an obligation. If he wakes up in his courtyard, then it is a debt owed to him; if he wishes, he may exact it, and if he wishes, he may leave it."
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا سفيان، عن منصور، عن الشعبي، عن المقدام أبي كريمة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لليلة الضيف واجبة، فإن أصبح بفنائه، فهو دين له، فإن شاء اقتضى، وإن شاء ترك "
