Hadith of Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'di Karib al-Kindi, Abu Karima (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 462:33
Abu Kamil narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, he said: Budayl ibn Maysarah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Rashid ibn Sa'd, from Abu Amir al-Hawzani, from al-Miqdam, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves behind a debt or a family in need, then it is upon me. And whoever leaves behind wealth, then it is for his heir. And I am the guardian (mawla) of the one who has no guardian; I inherit his wealth and I free his captive. And the maternal uncle is the guardian of the one who has no guardian; he inherits his wealth and frees his captive."
