Musnad Ahmad 695:9

Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Shu'ayb informed us, from al-Zuhri, 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, that al-Miswar ibn Makhramah informed him, that 'Amr ibn 'Awf al-Ansari—who was an ally of the Banu 'Amir ibn Lu'ayy and had witnessed Badr with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—informed him that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, "sent Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah to Bahrain to bring its jizyah. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had made a peace treaty with the people of Bahrain and had appointed al-'Ala' ibn al-Hadrami over them. So Abu 'Ubaydah arrived with wealth from Bahrain." Then he mentioned the hadith, meaning like the hadith of Ma'mar.
