Hadith of al-Mughirah ibn Shu‘bah (RA)
حديث المغيرة بن شعبة
Hadith 626:57
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Muslim, from Masruq, from Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: I was with the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, on a journey. He said to me: "O Mughirah, take the water container." He said: So I took it. He said: Then I went with him, and he went until he was hidden from me, and he relieved himself. Then he came, and upon him was a Syrian jubbah (outer garment) with tight sleeves. He said: So he went to take his hands out of it, but they were too tight, so he took his hands out from under the jubbah. I poured [water] for him, and he performed his wudu (ablution) for prayer, then he wiped over his khuffayn (leather socks), then he prayed.
حدثنا أبو معاوية، حدثنا الأعمش، عن مسلم، عن مسروق، عن المغيرة بن شعبة، قال: كنت مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في سفر، فقال لي: " يا مغيرة، خذ الإداوة " قال: فأخذتها، قال: ثم انطلقت معه، فانطلق حتى توارى عني، فقضى حاجته، ثم جاء وعليه جبة شامية ضيقة الكمين، قال: فذهب يخرج يديه منها، فضاقتا ، فأخرج يديه من أسفل الجبة، فصببت عليه، فتوضأ وضوءه للصلاة ، ثم مسح على خفيه، ثم صلى
