Musnad Ahmad 626:85

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn 'Alaqah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day Ibrahim died. The people said: "It eclipsed for the death of Ibrahim." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah; they do not eclipse for the death of anyone, nor for his life. So when you see that, pray and call upon Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
