Musnad Ahmad 595:10

Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, he said: Al-Harith ibn Yazid al-Hadrami narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, that he was in a gathering in which were al-Mustawrid ibn Shaddad and Amr ibn Ghaylan ibn Salamah. He heard al-Mustawrid say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "Whoever is appointed to a task and does not have a wife, let him take a wife; or a servant, let him take a servant; or a dwelling, or a mount, let him take a mount. Whoever acquires anything beyond that, he is a misappropriator (ghal) or a thief."
